Art Summit Nigeria 2019
The Future of Art: Is Collaboration
October 30th - 31st

The Art Summit Nigeria is an annual educational summit with a central focus on the future of art in Nigeria. The summit’s second iteration will focus on the vital and transformative impact of artists in both local communities and global economies.

The theme: The Future of Art: Is Collaboration highlights the transformative role of collaboration in expanding and creating opportunities for the art industry to thrive.

With the second edition, our program is in threefold:

1. Experiential Pavilion- The Art Summit Nigeria for its first edition developed and designed a first of its kind Experiential Pavilion for audiences to engage with alternative forms to produce and exhibit art with new technologies-- as soundscapes, video projections, 4D and site-specific installations. Artist’s exhibited work engaging with technology, pushing the boundaries of the local art market, positioning Nigeria's creative industry in dialogue with global art discourses.

2. Conference- To activate dialogues between a wide range of social actors-- as government authorities, private investors, general audiences, educators, art critics, and local and international artists.

3. Educational Workshops- We will provide designed spaces for artists, university art students, and educators to explore new methodologies and engage with new technologies
